Kriittisten terveydenhuoltoympäristöjen toiminnan varmistaminen modernin teknologian avulla: Uudenlainen mobiilirobottien ja passiivisen RFID teknologian fuusio
In this ambitious research project, we are establishing clothing-integrated and healthcare environment-embedded passive RFID solutions and utilizing data fusion for supporting mobile robots with the passive RFID data. Through this, we employ mobile robots to accomplish optimized routine work tasks and various critical supplementary missions during crises, in order to ensure functionality of critical healthcare environments in all situations. The consortium partners are SAMK, TAU and versatile healthcare institutes. The project results offer the opportunity for new scientific breakthroughs in clothing-integrated sensors and body monitoring, in fusion of different type of data, and in development of human-robot collaboration, all of which are critical aspects in crisis preparedness of critical healthcare environments.
Project deliverables include refereed articles in high-impact international scientific journals & conference proceeding and high-quality demo videos, which visualize the potentialities but also the challenges of the developed solutions. The carefully selected project collaboration team will enable high social impact of the research as their substance skills guide the development towards the real-life needs of healthcare environments. By synthesizing all the research data, we generate generalizable guidelines about ensuring the functionality of critical healthcare environments during different types of crises with the help of modern technologies. The final workshops for Finnish healthcare institutes ensure efficient flow of the latest scientific results and practical expertise to the relevant stakeholders.
