The demand for AI specialists with hands-on experience and a deep understanding of these tools that can harness the power of AI in different usage scenarios is growing substantially. The programme

Luckily, today, AI is in the form of tools and libraries that don't require a scientific background to use. The Artificial Intelligence (Data Engineering) degree programme prepares you to utilize AI, programming, and data science in practical ways. During your studies, you will also gain additional skills in areas like entrepreneurship, project management, international collaboration, and working as part of multidisciplinary teams.

Studies take place on campus

Studies are conducted during daytime generally Monday-Friday as contact teaching on SAMK campus in Pori. Studying requires full-time studying and presence on our campus.

Specialisations

What are your options for specialisation?

The specialization in the studies is generally selected during the second year of study. You can choose between four specialization options: Data Analytics (15 ECTS), Artificial Intelligence (20 ECTS), Programming (28 ECTS) and Databases (8 ECTS).

Career opportunities

Where can you work after graduation?

The graduates are capable of working as programmers but with the additional hands-on skills for working close to the company data and the AI technologies used in the company. The graduates also have the necessary understanding to detect situations where AI can be implemented efficiently to create significant value for the company.
