The number of Bachelor’s degrees awarded in 2024 was 1,084 (compared to 1,006 in 2023), and the number of Master’s degrees was 236 (227 in 2023). The number of Bachelor’s degrees increased more than the average for other Universities of Applied Sciences, as SAMK’s share of all University of Applied Sciences degree credits rose to 3.96% (from 3.84% in 2023).

The increase in the share of credits was also driven by a significant improvement in the percentage of graduates completing their degrees within the target time, which rose to 67% (from 62%). The share of Master’s degrees among all UAS degrees also remained strong at 3.93%.

In a survey of students graduating in 2024 (AVOP*), Bachelor’s degree students rated SAMK as the second-best University of Applied Sciences overall. Master’s degree students rated SAMK as the third-best University of Applied Sciences. There are 24 Universities of Applied Sciences in Finland (including Högskolan på Åland and the Police University College). SAMK’s response rate was 100% for both Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students.
