International recognition of Physiotherapy education at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences

The World Physiotherapy has awarded the physiotherapist professional entry-level education programmes full accreditation for the term 23 March 2021 to 21 January 2025.

Satakunta University of Applied Sciences is enthusiastic over the outcome of the international accreditation process. The World Physiotherapy accreditation process facilitates the continuous development of the quality of Physiotherapy education from a professional and international perspective. The strengths include excellent facilities, committed teachers and good relationships between clinical placements and the university. The Service Centre SOTEEKKI is seen as an innovative and impressive learning environment.

It was a big step to open our Physiotherapy education to international evaluation. We are proud that the Bachelor-level programmes in Physiotherapy have been found to merit full accreditation by the international organisation World Physiotherapy

Two languages, one group: reforming mechanical engineering studies

In the future, students of the two degree programmes in Mechanical Engineering, both the one with Finnish and the one with English as the language of tuition, will study together. The common language for the degree programmes will predominantly be English.
