The Career Monitoring Survey for 2019 graduates is underway

The target group of the survey includes all 29,000 graduates from bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in universities of applied sciences in 2019. The nationwide career monitoring survey provides up-to-date employment information for higher education institutions.

The results of the survey are used to help applicants and current students in their career considerations. The results will also be used to develop future UAS education and career guidance for students. The results will also have a direct impact on the funding of the university.

Respondents will be approached via email and text message. Your university of applied sciences will contact you, and you will be asked to fill in a survey. Your background information is extracted from Virta national data repository maintained by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Basic information about your degrees is collected as part of the background data, so the survey does not ask questions related to this separately. Your contact information is collected from the student or alumni register and public sources solely for the purpose of sending the survey, after which it will be deleted.

Responses will be treated confidentially, and no individual respondent can be identified.

National career monitoring survey of universities of applied sciences

The need for the survey is based on the Universities of Applied Sciences Act (932/2014) and Government Decree on Universities of Applied Sciences (1129/2014). The results of previous years’ career monitoring surveys are available in the Education Statistics Finland’s service Vipunen and on the website töissä.fi.

The survey is carried out by the UASs together with CSC – Center for Science Information Technology Ltd. The survey is open until 10.11.
