Application period to SAMK has ended

The application period in autumn 2024 for SAMK's degree programmes has ended. There were a total of 4,200 applicants for degree programmes in English.

SAMK had to offer full-time studies in Bachelor´s degree programmes, Bachelor´s degree programmes taught mostly online as distance studies, and Master´s degree programmes. Most of these studies are in Finnish.

Among the international degree programmes available were International Business in Rauma and Nursing in Pori. There were almost 2,700 applicants for the Degree Programme in International Business. The Degree Programme in Nursing got over 1,500 applicants.

The Degree Programme in International Business educates specialists and experts for small- and medium-sized enterprises working a broad scale of tasks on the global market.

The Degree Programme in Nursing will prepare students for a profession, in which they will be working with clients of different age groups promoting their health and wellbeing and treating their diseases.

In the joint application there were nationally a total of 45,100 applicants, which is 10,800 applicants less than in autumn 2023. For the Finnish tuitioned degree programmes in SAMK there were almost 2,500 applications, of which over 1,000 were primarily to SAMK. The number of primary applicants to SAMK went down with 100 applicants when compared to autumn 2023’s joint application.

In SAMK Admission Autumn 2024 there were over 4,200 applications. Last year there were a total of 6,600 applicants for degree programmes in English.

SAMK graduates a record number of students in 2024

Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) graduated a record number of students in 2023 – and last year, the record was broken again.

The Career Monitoring Survey for 2019 graduates is underway

The target group of the survey includes all 29,000 graduates from bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in universities of applied sciences in 2019. The nationwide career monitoring survey provides up-to-date employment information for higher education institutions.
