Information about student health care at SAMK
The Student Health Foundation (FSHS) supports your well-being and health during your studies. The Student Health Service provides general health, oral health and mental health services to students in higher education and promotes the well-being of the student community.
Students who are enrolled in a degree programme at a university of applied sciences and are registered as present can use the services of the FSHS. For more information about FSHS services and service points, see the links below.
Self is a student’s own online service for FSHS, which allows you to manage your appointments, arrive at a remote reception or chat. Log in easily and keep your contact details up to date throughout your studies.
FSHS organises a wide range of preventive and therapeutic group activities throughout the year in distance and face-to-face courses to promote physiotherapy, nutrition and mental well-being.
Healthcare fee for students in higher education
The healthcare fee for students in higher education is paid to Kela on your own initiative in both the autumn and spring semesters. The student healthcare fee to Kela covers all the services provided by the FSHS and there is no charge for consultations. Please remember to make an appointment and reschedule or cancel your appointment early to avoid paying for an unused appointment. Students from another EU or EEA country must have a European Health Insurance Card.
